Adventures in Spam

I'm not a very popular online personality. I mean, only 9 people follow me here, only about 120 on twitter, and I'm pretty sure most of the the 600 friends on facebook are really more acquaintances than anything.

So I was pretty sure the sudden 144 followers on twitter had to be spam.

I decided to check each one out, because you never know if you might have just had a super awesome rise in popularity or if it really was just spam.
I also decided to do my civic duty and report each one for spam. This task involved me opening each one and individually clicking "report as spam"

This idea turned out to be an awesome adventure in spam.
I blocked a few of the spammers at first, because they didn't have those typical "click here" tweets. They seemed different and if they weren't spam, I just didn't want them to follow me.
But then, I realized...all of these people had the same tweets!
So I decided to document this hour long task, so you could laugh as much as me...

These are the typical tweets the 144 people had...
After awhile of looking at game gear, xbox2 and developing crap...I noticed this...

Hmm...Sherry476 stole something from her school library...
Omg Brooke940 did too!
And Tisa515! You devil you!
LESA858!
At this point, I was sure that what I was doing was helping. I mean, if anything I was helping twitter identify people who have stolen books from their local library.

Then things got weird.
Who is Raguel046 talking to?
It looks like Lilly762 is super excited about not being spammed
but... wait, whats this about cookies?
Sharan512 sets things straight
This one is my favorite. I'm through about 120 of them by now and each one has the same type of tweets. Except Han939. Han939 is mother effing CRAZY.

After about 120 of them, it seems the spammer got tired of making up names.

And after about 120 of them, it seems them spammer got tired of searching for unique photos.
And then, after 144 of them, I realized that somehow this spammer is taking all of these tweets from articles, blogs, other tweets, etc.

It took about an hour to get this done, but I think I filled up my internet kharma by reporting all of this spam. My followers went right back down to 120ish and I am back to being an unpopular internet persona.
I do want to say that I really liked that one fictional moment when I had 264 followers. It was nice.
And, hey, we all know...

Retroactive Oscar?

Its not that I'm mad that Sally Field won the 1979 Oscar for Norma Rae. But is there any way we can give a retroactive Best Actress Oscar to Bette Midler in The Rose?

This was her film debut, in 1979, in a movie based on Janis Joplin (it says "modeled after" on Wikipedia, but you pretty much know its about Janis). Bette Midler is "devastatingly brilliant", a quote I will take from my friend, in this role and all you want is a happy ending.

But, like Janis Joplin, you don't get one.

I went and searched the YouTubes for any sort of clip of that movie and all I really got was a bunch of songs by Bette Midler. In the end though, I think you should definitely just watch the whole movie because it is just so sad.

Why would I want to watch such a sad movie, you ask?
Because maybe all those comedy/action/fantasy movies aren't enough anymore. Thats why.

How to make New Mexican red chile sauce

Hello friends!
This past holiday season I found myself taking another step into "growing up" by trying to make all the nice New Mexican dishes that my mom usually makes.
These dishes mostly involve New Mexican Red Chile Sauce.

Most people who read this blog know exactly what I am talking about, but for those select few that don't, Red Chile Sauce (and Green Chile) are staples of Mexican food. New Mexican food just has a bit of a twist. We smother all our food in chile. Our chile is made from New Mexican chile pods grown right in New Mexico. Most people like green or red, some like both, but I love red chile.

I've only made chile once before and this time I took pictures of what I did, mainly because I got a new camera for christmas, but also because I'd like to remember what I did. Be aware that I don't have measurements like"teaspoons" or anything so you might have to make that stuff up as you go.

Ingredients!
New Mexican dried Red Chile Pods
Minced Garlic
Flour
Canola Oil

Things!
Pot
Blender
a type of sieve
pan
spoon type things

Caution: When making your chile, make sure you do not touch your eyes. Oh the humanity if you do.

1.Take 20 dry chile pods and snap of the stems.
Shake out the seeds in the trash.

2. Put pods in a pot and fill with hot tap water.
Soak for 2 hours
Stir occasionally, be aware the steam will now be hot spicy chile steam

The steam made me sneeze

3. Put soaked pods in a blender with some of the water that is now "chile water" and 4 spoonfuls of minced garlic
Blend
Hold the top on the blender so it doesn't shoot up into your face and burn your skin off.

My mouth is already watering

4. Once blended, pour the chile into a sieve and mush it down into a pot. This will get all the bits o' skin and rest of the seeds out and you will have a delicious sauce left!

Sieve
Things you don't want in your chile...

5. You are not done yet. Step 4 is a very long step....

Not sure how to make this go faster...
Once you got this... You are done.

6. Take the pan and put a bit of oil in it and heat it up.
Pour about 4 spoonfuls of flour in and heat it until its brown.
Pour in chile and stir.

Congratulations you have made New Mexican Red Chile Sauce!

Now, to make a bean burrito....

AMERICA!

Happy MotherFucking Independence Day!!

Do you realize people actually DID fight for your freedom? Way back when it counted, way back when we really WERE being oppressed by another country. These people were fighting a battle that looked unwinnable! And they WON! They FUCKING WON!

They threw tea in the river! Precious english tea! And they said "We don't need your god damned tea! We drink COFFEE now!"

Then the guys in charge sat down with each other, drinking wine probably, and discussed HOW TO CREATE A COUNTRY! Then they CREATED A COUNTRY!

Have you done that!?

These guys wanted to have a country where a person is free! Free from all the shit that was taking place in England. AND THEY SUCCEEDED!

They fucking signed that Declaration of Independence on July 4th! They signed the SHIT out of it!

These people really DID fight for freedom. They fucking wanted it. And they fucking got it.

And they did it for YOU.

So, bitch, go out and celebrate the shit out of this day.

America!

Glee

I love this show!!!
I love its happiness, its music, its talented performers, its fun times.

I do not love the auto-tune.

I do not love how I can hear when people are being auto-tuned. Yes, some of those actors aren't as good of singers as the Broadway stars that you hired, but please don't auto tune them.

I'd personally find it insulting if I were on a show like that and being one of three that were consistently auto-tuned. Really? You think I sing that terribly? wow. Thanks. Thats real great for my ego.
(which being an actor, I know our egos are pretty fragile...and I'm assuming any L.A. actors is doubly so)

But thats just me, maybe most of the audience watching the show actually doesn't hear it.

Plus,
I just bought the Glee Cast Showstoppers. It is awesome. And I love it.

List #457

That isn't fire behind me, its a tornado

Other people are much better at writing blogs than I am.

I just don't write things down and even when I do the blog is so scatterbrained that I don't have a clue why I started it.

so here is my go to....the LIST.

1. I really like my iphone, but I put it on silent so much I don't ever hear when people call.

2. I'm growing plants right now. And they are actually growing. I think I should buy ones that are already grown though. So that I don't have to wait to get some greenery in here.

3. this apartment rocks more than any rock band could rock. Except Kiss. I'm pretty sure Kiss rocks super hard.

4. Hey, its not that hard to keep your apartment clean! DID YOU KNOW THAT!?

5. I slept for 9 hours last night.

6. I watched 5 movies yesterday.

7. I feel sometimes I don't have enough time to watch all the tv I want to watch. And thats frustrating.

8. I should use all my Groupons so that I don't waste all that money I spent.

9. I like the new Doctor. He's cool.

10. I'm looking to get a bike. I think a bike would be a great addition to my grown up life.

11. I'm looking to get a boyfriend. I think a boyfriend would be a great addition to my grown up life.

Well...that's it for now.

On People...

You ever watched a video that was made from some other state by some people you don't know and you thoroughly enjoyed it?

I always think to myself, "wow, I never knew these people existed before now. I never thought that all these people had lives and thoughts and dreams until I saw this video"

I believe we forget that we are of one species. All together on one planet trying to make a life for ourselves. That every single person on this planet has to eat. Every single person has had a taste of water and that every single person sleeps at night.

Hair grows in the same place. Some have more, some have less, but it is all still there.

Our eyes and ears and noses are all in the same general areas and they all have the same functions.

6 billion people and we have the same type of tongue. The same elbows. The same knees.

Our brains mostly operate in the same way.

We have the same instincts: Fight or Flight
We have the same emotions: Fear, Anger, Happiness

We experience curiosity.

We all didn't know what the world was when we were born. We all learned a language as we grew up. And we all have someone we are close to.

I sometimes think we focus on our differences so much, we forget we are just a species living on this earth.

There are 6 billion human beings. And I'm just one of them. Living, eating, laughing, sleeping, and dreaming.

The Desk Chair

I'm really going to try this time.
I want to write down (in this blog) what's going on day to day. Like a journal. Like this blog is supposed to be used.
And I feel that now is a good time to keep track of the little things that have happened in my life so I can remember them when I'm old. And since I know you all will find it sooooo interesting to hear the mundane of my life...here we go!

I have been wanting a desk chair for my desk for about 2 years now. I have been using a nice looking, dark, wooden, folding chair. It hurt my butt. And for a couple of months last year I even used an old exercise ball......
This exercise ball was perfect. It was just the right height, kept my posture up, and let me bounce on it. I didn't have a job when I had the ball so I sat on it everyday. This ball was my friend. Then one day my good friend Kelly and I were on the phone. She was telling me the terrible and sad story of her cat passing away that previous night and I was being a good friend by listening and sitting on my ball. Then.....WHAM!

But in slow motion....POP>>SWOOSH>>>WHAM!

My ball popped. I fell on ground. My face was laughing, but I was silent. My door was locked and my roommate yelled through "Are you okay?" All the while Kelly is telling me her story. I waited until she finished, said "i'm sorry, this is so not the time but...."

Dan and Kelly have always been good to me. They give me stuff. They had an old theatre chair they were just going to throw out and I asked if I could take it apart and use the pad to put on my folding chair. So I did, and for months I sat on an old, dark wood, theatre chair padded, folding chair.

My back hurt.
My butt hurt.

So I asked my parents for a desk chair for Christmas this year. It was in the BAG this time! My parents wouldn't let me down! All I wanted for xmas was a desk chair!

I didn't get one.

I wait then, to see when I could afford one. Very sad indeed.

This past day two miracles happened. First, Dan and Kelly come through and say they have an old desk chair I might want so come and pick it up. THEN, I get in the mail a gift card from my brother for just the right amount to buy a desk chair!

SQUEE!

So I go online to see what prices are out there and find this perfect bright-red pretty desk chair from Office Depot. Hooray! But, its delivery only from the online store and they are out of stock. So I went to Office Depot. They didn't have anything I wanted, or at least would buy before I saw the chair D&K would give me.

I ended up taking D&K's chair. Its nice. It rolls, although my house is caving in and it rolls toward the center. And it's got padding on the butt AND the back.

And now...I have a gift card! Now I can get some new bras and maybe a nice lamp! Not the college lamp I've been toting around for 10 years!

I think I'm getting old. I just wrote about desk chairs.

Law & Order - Who dunnit...

You know when you get bored and you're watching tv, but its in the middle of Sunday so you're just flipping through the channels desperately hoping for something to watch? And you finally are about to give up and read a book or go outside when you happen upon a Law & Order episode?

They are always on. Every channel too. It's like this magnificent show that just lets you hang onto the brim of almost being bored to death.
But not quite dead yet, no, you are just enough interested in seeing who murdered that poor homeless girl that you'll tune in until the end.

Law & Order has saved my life a couple of times in that respect. Keeping me alive through that hour to finally find a crappy movie is starting on FX or until someone calls me and we'll end up hanging out.

This latest episode (that prompted this blog) was about "a famous girl, who is just famous cause she's rich, gets murdered by WHO?" It was intriguing, because I couldn't pinpoint the murderer in the first 20 minutes (which is what I do at least 70% of the time).

It was all going well when tragedy happened. I had to leave.

But it was 7:40. And they hadn't told me who killed her yet. There were at least 4 suspects: the gang member who runs the club she hangs out at, the 16 year old kid who is obsessed with her, the chef who proposed to her and his manager.

I left. And because I left I don't know who killed her. WHO KILLED HER JEFF GOLDBLUM? (it was one of the newer ones, cause Vincent Dinofrio left...oh you know what I'm talking about...right?)

This is why I think there should be a blog out there, where people who love the cheesyness of Law & Order can post the endings to L&O. So I can look them up later and see who dunnit. And I'll be satisfied.

No, I don't have to go watch the epp again. I've seen it. At least the majority of it that I can picture what happens in the end.

Wouldn't that be great? So when you are bored, and you find a L&O episode on, you don't have to worry about watching the whole thing. You just go to that blog and read about it the next day, when you are nearly dying of boredom at work. Isn't that a great idea? It'd be a life saver!

Good ol' Law & Order, always saving peoples lives.

Photo!

I won a photography contest!

I was going to just lead in with a nice story and whatnot but I can't hold it in!

I WON! This is exciting. These pictures I took were from my old phone. The one that doesn't have internet.

First, let me show you my pictures...

Both of these were taken a couple of years ago when I first started working at my riverboat job.
(I call it the riverboat job now cause I also work at another boat job which is not a riverboat. It is a submarine...)
In the weekly "Mercury Messenger" newsletter at my job, there was a "photo contest". Send in your photos and we'll vote and see who wins!

So I was like, hey, these people at least need these pictures, I think they are quite good. Who cares if I win.

What do I get now that I DID win?

An overnight stay in a downtown hotel! STAYCATION bitches! I'm excited. I want to watch cable and go hang out in a hot tub or go swimming. I'm super excited. Hooray.

Though I feel as if maybe another person who doesn't get to live in the city should have won....

but hey, my pictures kick ASS! Right? RIGHT?!

And you'd think i'd write more

You ever have that feeling that you are so freaking busy that if only you could have ONE day, just ONE DAY, then everything would be allright?
Then you get that one day and you waste it just watching tv?

I have so many plans for today, but I've already wasted most of the morning on the internet. Granted I was updating twitter.....which is highly important.

I also was enjoying this website - Yearbook Yourself - which looks like its made by Woodfield Mall.
Incidentally I've never been to Woodfield Mall and I do really have the itch to shop today. Get some fun threadless t-shirts and such.

But I need to save money instead of spend it. I think thats partially why I haven't gone out of my house yet today. I don't spend money when I'm at home!

Hey did you know I have 2 more payments left on my car? 2! IN fact, if I go to my bank of america website right now and log in.....

ONE MORE PAYMENT ON MY CAR!!!

Hooray.
Also because of Mint.com I keep better track of where my money is going.... And most of it is going to house and car. Which is good. Cause at least most of it isn't going to Threadless Tshirts.

You know what else I've done for myself? Written down on a sheet of papes my bills for the month and the paychecks as they come in... what a GOOD idea huh? HUH?

ANYWAY.
now that I've wasted more time just fucking around on here.... I guess its time ot straighten up my room. And find that bill from National Geographic....

Goodness, I really wanna go to Strange Cargo and just buy stuff.

Hey did I tell you I'm reading "The Neverending Story"? Its SO good, this guy has one awesome imagination. Its so amazing. Read it, if you find it anywhere. :)

The Rest

The Rest....of my vacation was super fun too...

hold on while I make coffee.....

Okay. 20 minutes later and I'm a bit more awake!

My birthday was super fun, we ate mexican food and then hung around my parents place that afternoon, just enjoying the sun and the outside. My good friends Valarie and Mandy came. It was awes'.
THEN I had an awesome birthday improv show at the Box! What was so fun about it? Everything! I had so much fun. SO much fun. AND i got to see all my good friends and say hi to them and hug them. I felt so happy to have friends that come to a show and then you get to hug them hello. I love that.
Then I went home I believe.

The NEXT day was the 10 year high school reunion! It started out at a pool outside. Where all the kiddies could come with their parents. (So many people have kids its weird). Then we all just talked about good times, I saw people I actually hadn't seen in 10 years so that was fun. Everyone looks the same, just...older.
The night event was good fun too. Mandy and I got ready together. Made sure we both looked smokin hot...
They had mexican food inside. (good) and I got to see some more people and catch up with people. Everyone just seemed so excited to be there. Some a bit shy, some not. There was dancing in the end, and I had 2 martinis but I wasn't drunk. (stupid bartender....heh heh). We went home after that and went to bed. Hey...I'm old. Leave me alone.

Sunday was an awesome day. Fathers Day! My parents and I drove up to a place behind the mountains up by Santa Fe to eat breakfast. It was a delicious delicious breakfast. And a fun atmosphere where chickens, turkeys, roosters, and peacocks were running around outside! Then we went home and I used this time to relax some more. I must have needed it too. My dad and I watched "Yes, Man" and I really liked it....I'm biased of course cause I absolutely love Jim Carrey.

Monday was fun too! Mandy called in the morning to see if I could meet up for breakfast and i said YES! Then my Dad, Mandy, and I went to see Year One (its a renter) and after that I got....
an .... IPHONE! Yes! Woo Hoo! I have it! And being on a family plan I'm not paying as much as I would have. Whoopee!

Then at the end of Monday we went over to the Frontier and met up with more people! Leonard, Devin, Doug, Kristin, Tara, and Kelsey were there. Mandy and Scott of course and me. I ate my favorite meal of a vegetarian salad and tortillas (and once again forgot to buy a dozen like I keep meaning to). After that I went over to see Taras new place (Sweet place I must tell you!) and went home to pack.
I left early that next morning. Traveling on 2 flights to get back up here to Chicago.

I left Chicago when it was unseasonably cold and I came back to 95 degree humid weather. I was dying. And I tripped over a curb and totally wrecked my knee!
It was all bruised, but now its better.

I really had a fun time back home, and I will tell you that it was probably what I needed after this past winter. The relaxing times have totally reset me for this summer and I'm a bit more prepared for the rest of the summer now!!!

But hey guess what!?!?! I'm coming back to ABQ for the Duke City Improv Fest with my team Robocopus!!!

So be prepared Burque, I'll be back. :)

Day One of Vacation

If these past few days are any indicator of how my year is going to go, then I am all for it.

I went home to New Mexico for vacation where I saw beautiful blue skies, experienced 90 degree DRY heat, and had quite a few awesome adventures.

Lets start on Thursday. Coming in I knew that my mom had awesomely given me her massage at 1pm. Which I was SO excited for. I have been so stressed out lately, you don't even know, heck I didn't even know. So. I come into town at 9:30 (yeah, so early!) and immediately went home to hang wit' my mom. We had tea and brownies. Then I laid on the hammock, took a shower, and painted my toenails. THEN I went to the massage...

Best Massage Ever. I decided to meditate the full hour of the massage. Trying to let out this past year (lets face it, it sucked) and breathe in the new year with a positive outlook. Good lord that was a great massage.

Well...I had won a $25 gift certificate from my river boat job (in time for my bday!) to Old Navy and I wanted to go there next. But before we did that, my mom got some sandwiches and we went to a park and ate them in the shade. It was SO relaxing.

I found a sweet hot pink skirt at old navy in addition to pants for $4, and 2 shirts! What a DEAL.

After that we went home and I proceeded to smother my dog (my moms dog) Meeka with kisses for like 3 hours. We had macaroni & cheese and apple sauce for dinner (my favorite) and then we all hung out for a bit with Mandy at Gardunos drinking delicious drinks.

Tangent- did you know Gardunos is going under?

That was the end of DAY ONE. if you can believe it. And it wasn't even my birthday.

Thursday, May 07, 2009

And she decided to write a bit

What the hell? When I wasn't busy I couldn't even write a blog on a regular basis. I really like READING blogs that are posted on a regular basis and want to become one one day. Alas, this doesn't seem like that will ever happen.

So its back to the numbered lists of updates for me!!!

1. I have 2 jobs now. I am currently on the night of the 4th day of 6 days that I have to work (all summer long). Do I love it yet? I don't know. My two jobs are amazing. One being on the river all day in the sunshine while I get to eat cookies and be a really cool looking deckhand. I love the people I work with and I have a great time. My second is at a museum where I get to scare kids in a submarine. And I have a lot of fun with the people I work with!!! Who could ask for more? No ONE! I'm making money! I don't know if it'll be enough to live on yet, but I'll see...

2. TWO JOBS? I don't have time for living anymore! You know what? I found out why I'm having such a hard time. You see, I've been super tired lately. Like super really tired, like my brain hurts tired. Go to bed early tired. And I couldn't put a finger on it as to why. I don't work 9 hours a day every day...
I found out today as I looked at the clock...and here is what I thought "oh its 8:45. Wow, I have time to hang out after rehearsal. Usually I don't, I have a schedule until 10. No wait, I've been unemployed for months! That last 10pm schedule was last year!! OH that must be why I'm so tired, I have no sense of time anymore."
So thats why I'm tired. I suspect its also because I've been doing a show Fri. Sat. and Sunday nights for 6 weeks, learning 3 tours, and getting up real early.

3. I finally emailed my friends about www.undeadglobal.com !! How cool is that? I learned a whole bunch of cool HTML as well. I do hope I keep that up now that I have a fraction of the time I had when I was unemployed.

4. I love my friends. Hey friends! You know how we used to hang out? I miss that. Can we hang out soon? Well, I'd really like to, I have like some hours next Wednesday afternoon to hang. Can you hang out then? I miss you.

5. I'm going home for my 10 year high school reunion.

6. HOLY SHIT. My 10 YEAR high school reunion!?!?!?! Wow. Hey its around my birthday! So I'm going home to party it up. June 18th to June 23rd. Be aware bitches.

7. I've had several dreams with Neil Gaiman in them. He is great.

8. I got an itch and it needs to be scratched.

9. The more I watch Little Britain, the more I think the world needs a lady comedy duo to RIP it the EFF up!!!! I love them so much, love what they do, and I hope to be doing what they do one day.

10. I'd like to go lap swimming in the lake please.

11. My brain hurts and I'm tired. I'm going to work tomorrow to go scare little children in a submarine. Maybe you should come visit me. :)

12. Last but not least, and most important of all. HULU is still making me nervous. Dollhouse may not be renewed for next season? And Fox is saying because people aren't watching it on the day. WELL fox, hey, don't give us the show online if you don't COUNT the viewership online. I have had a show for 6 weeks on Fridays and I can't watch Dollhouse! But, do you care that I DO watch it online the very next day? Son of a bitch Fox. You are so picky.

next time (and there will be a next time) - less scattered blog from Leslie. About One subject.

Welcome to My World

I had a dream the other day. One of those wonderful, vivid, all over the place, dreams.

I thought I'd share it with you.

World #1
I'm in this open 4 story warehouse. Escaping from zombies with my friends and some people we happened to run into. There wasn't any furniture on any of the floors and the walls were painted in horizontal stripes the colors were red, black, and yellow. We were making our way up to the top floor in an elevator. The doors elevator doors opened and there were other people there waiting for us. With guns. They were after us along with the zombies. They didn't shoot right away and I took that opportunity to pick up a trash can and hit the people with it. Hit the guns out of their hands. I was doing a wonderful job, if I might say so myself, and realized that no one else was helping me. So I got mad, hit a guy real hard with the trash can and ran away. If they weren't helping me, I wasn't going to help them. I ran out the door to my right and climbed up a metal sheet wall. Those were a muted blue and red color. I nimbly flipped up onto the roof and saw...

World #2
The sky was open and blue. I saw the Sandia mountains in the background and was on the left roof of the warehouse. There were houses right next door. More like...shacks. Metal roofed and horribly built, I stood up and looked around. I saw across the way a place where I could escape to. Between me and salvation was an enclosed "field". Instead of weeds, plants, or dirt there were patches of old tarps and hot air balloons. I leapt down and ran, like a wolf, towards the black shade that hid the door. I heard behind me the evil guys saying they couldn't get up onto the roof and I escaped..into...

World #3
A hospital. A 1950s clean, window bright, blue nurses uniformed, hospital. I was there with a friend. I'll call her Buffy. We walked around the hallways and avoided nurses and tried to find a way out of there. To get away from the evil gun toting men. The walls were tile and the nurse I remember had long dark hair pulled back into a pony tail. They were taking care of patients, not even noticing we were there. And we found a way out...

World #4
Outside was present day. Clear skies and happy people. In fact there were a LOT of people walking around. We were in a strip mall, with a movie theatre on our left and a mall on our right. Balloons were flying around and people were with thier families. I said to my friend Buffy we should just go see a movie and have at least 2 hours without having to think about the zombies. I then looked at the mall, which had a wall made up of windows and glitter lights all around inside. I also mentioned to Buffy something like "wow, these people are taking the zombie outbreak pretty well, it looks like we'll be fine". So we got into a car and left...

World #5
We were driving down a street in a neighborhood that had massive houses and neatly cleaned yards. I was narrating as we drove down saying and immediatly seeing what I said... "I would love to just have a day where I can just lay out in the sun and party with my friends. Have my own place to live and take care of"...

World #6
As the sun set, we drove down a street with a dead end. One side had a green fence and just regular plains behind it. In the middle of the street was a very beautiful median and on the left side were newly built mansions. They all had scuptures in the front yards, one being a giant skull of a triceritops. I walked down looking at all the sculptures like it was a museum, and realized the houses were built upon old graveyards where historical things used to be. To build there they took those artifacts and put them up into thier yards. We reached the end of the street and I had a feeling that I had been there before...

World #7
The day had started to end and it was turning into night...I looked past the green fence and saw a giraffe running around. It was a zoo. In particular it was the Denver Zoo. I said to my friends that I had been here before, but these houses weren't built yet and it was much prettier. I looked down the street and saw the street lights on, lighting the way down the road...

and thats when I woke up...

Tao 64

What I've been doing is clicking randomly here and using that as good inspiration for the day. I hope it inspires you too.

Squiggle Time will come sometime soon, I have to go to rehearsals. :)

64
What is rooted is easy to nourish.
What is recent is easy to correct.
What is brittle is easy to break.
What is small is easy to scatter.

Prevent trouble before it arises.
Put things in order before they exist.
The giant pine tree
grows from a tiny sprout.
The journey of a thousand miles
starts from beneath your feet.

Rushing into action, you fail.
Trying to grasp things, you lose them.
Forcing a project to completion,
you ruin what was almost ripe.

Therefore the Master takes action
by letting things take their course.
He remains as calm
at the end as at the beginning.
He has nothing,
thus has nothing to lose.
What he desires is non-desire;
what he learns is to unlearn.
He simply reminds people
of who they have always been.
He cares about nothing but the Tao.
Thus he can care for all things.
